Colorado's first freestyle outdoor 5-A-Side summer soccer league is coming to Northern Denver in 2009. 5-A-Side takes your 3v3 game to the next level, with bigger fields, more space for you to get creative, real live goalkeepers and no silly goal boxes. Created in the United Kingdom, 5-A-Side is a fast-paced game which gets us back to playing soccer instead of worrying about rules, referees or endless sitting on the bench. Teams are restricted to a maximum of eight players, giving everyone plenty of playing time during the 50 minute games. Players are given responsibility to call their own fouls. Every team gets 8 games between June 8th and July 31st, all on our lush and flat Legacy fields. All participants get a t-shirt. The top two teams in every age group get high quality medals and trophies. All this and it costs $100 less than comparable 3v3 leagues. Register before May 15th and pay only $180 per team. This works out to less than $3 per player per game.
